What's the difference?
Learning about all the new lasers and what the right treatment is for you, is confusing! To help you understand the difference between two popular laser services: Skin Rejuvenation and Skin Resurfacing.
Skin Rejuvenation also called Fotofacial is not a true laser treatment. It is a non-ablative laser, an intense pulse light, that seeks discoloration in your skin to reduce it and help reorganize the damaged collagen and elastin in your skin from the sun, acne, and aging. It helps build some collagen and elastin providing you with a softer, fresher look. It penetrates about 100 microns deep in the skin. It is great for Rosacea, fine lines and wrinkles, mild to moderate sun damage. The Pixel, the skin resurfacing laser is a true laser, that can penetrate deep within the skin from 200-300microns deep. This laser actually BUILDS new collagen and elastin, thereby reducing wrinkles, acne, sun damage, discoloration, and scars. When there is new collagen and elastin made, wrinkles and pits in the skin can be filled. If there is deep discoloration in the skin, it can break up the discoloration and help build new skin that is clear and healthy looking. The picture shows a young woman who had one treatment with the Pixel for her discoloration and fine lines. |

The Indications
The Pixel is an amazing treatment that helps with many conditions. Some of the indications are
What does the Pixel feel like? The Pixel has some mild stinging session during the treatment, followed by an intense sensation of heat. It feels like an intense sun burn on the area of treatment. If you have not been sunburned before, it feels like an intense rug burn on the treated area that can last from 30 minutes to a few hours depending on your past sensitivity to the sun. Taking Motrin 600mg before and after your treatment can help with this as well as drinking lots of fluids. |

We have many success stories to share with you.
Sharon Z, 40 year female: "I have had the Fotofacial series done. One treatment with the Pixel was amazing. My fine lines were improved and the overall texture was great." Margaret G, 48 year old female: "I have done the Fotofacial for my rosacea. That has been great, but the Pixel is much more effective with my wrinkles, especially my naso-labial lines and crow's feet." Asim M, 30 year male: "I tried the Fotofacial for my acne. I didn't see much results. The Pixel was much better for my acne. My skin looks great!" And as for me, the Medical Director. I can state that I have tried all the treatments we offer. I love the Pixel because it has filled in my naso-labial lines which I detested! It was such a change that my husband asked me if I got a filler done around that area. So come in for your free consultation and give Pixel a try! |
